Yes, but the last four would also identify which credit card was used if the OP attaches a copy of the credit card. On my folio from a stay, it says
Mastercard XXXXXXXXXXXXABCD.
By the way, I would bet that the statement to the OP that they could only say "VISA" in the first place was not correct, but was an employee who didn't know. But I assume it is too late to do anything about that now. However, if the OP does not get the card for any reason, the hotel should be asked to take care of it, IMHO.
