Careful. UNITED keeps wanting to put me in K on LH to KWI-DOH-FRA. K does not earn miles as noted up thread. The IAD-LAX segment will get caught automatically at some point (mine did), otherwise it's the least of the issues.
I called UNITED again and I'm not getting anywhere pushing W. I'm now just going to stay put and work on this again closer to departure. In the meantime, I've set everything up to stay two nights. I might just want to anyway.
Just wanted to mention that I was able to get my ORD-IAD-BAH outbound that was impacted by the schedule change rebooked to ORD-FRA-BAH in W class. The agent did it willingly once I pointed out the mileage issue moving over to LH. I could have done ORD-IAD-DXB-BAH but they didn't try to force me and I was not at all enamored of the prospect of xferring to Fly Dubai/Terminal 2 anyways.
