If you don't mind flying out of Newark, it is probably your best bet.

Delta, United and Aeromexico fly nonstop to MEX. However, Delta's award availability isn't too good and Aeromexico is useless if you'll be flying mostly domestic after this assignment. PM me if you want recommendations in Mexico.
