Just came back from belgium with about 18lbs of chocolates in my carryon from Neuhaus, Marcolini, and Galler. You definitely want to keep it in the carryon as opposed to checkin because it needs to be in a climate controlled environment. My biggest fear was that United was going to put it on a scale. No problems with TSA or customs.
