We were waiting to board 33 a few weeks back and the plane had not been towed from the international gates due to a red alert. People were arguing about why they had not boarded yet. The fact there was no aircraft seemed to be a secondary matter and yes, announcements were made.

I would be grumpy very quickly dealing with that on a daily basis.


Good or bad, people need to be proactive rather than reactive. Get your seats when you book your flight. If he got GTE'ed in LIM the OP should have tried to force the issue there.

I think people take too much of a back seat to things (which flying you really can't) then blame everything and everyone (race card) when things go wrong.
