A correct answer could take the form 'Your card will be charged sometime between today and your check-in date. The property controls that transaction.'

There's an infinite variety of foolish questions. I don't hold Starwood responsible for training agents to be able to respond to all of them. If the OP wants currency hedging there are products sold by financial institutions to achieve this.
