I have had a difficult time obtaining any info from Singapore re the "value" of a SQ mile. I was told that there is a sliding scale on the purchase/pay page. However, I do not want to move points from AmEx to SQ until I have an idea of how many I might need to move. I am aware that there is a 5000 minimum miles requriement. If it is similar to AmEx's paying with points, then this may not be a good option. Trying to sort out whether to do an award ticket (BUT at the middle availablility level), pay with money or a combo of moeny/krisflyer miles

Any suggestions/ info would be appreciated
