Neither is having endless committees, inquiries and reports. If me and my colleagues were to spend as much time making decisions in our respective jobs as politicians do in theirs, the company I work for would be bankrupt.

Simple solution:
Make a decision
Make the right decision
Make it quickly

Governments has more resources than any of us to throw at the decision making process yet still fails to make decisions.
Possibly because it has to appeal ultimately to an electorate?
