Yes, a quick search EWR-LAX-EWR from Aug 5-9 in First was ~$2800 Roundtrip for just about all flts, one of the lie-flat flights was just shy of $3000. Just about all P fares.

JFK-LAX was almost double at $4400 for Z fares.
