That doesn't mean that the idea and concept of the monarchy is appropriate. It is undemoncratic, unecessary, unwarranted, unwanted and unfair. That fact that those in it are a decent sort isn't really relevant.
Who would do the investitures then?
Unless you feel the good people of the Commonwealth don't need them anymore, they have only being going since 1917.
Unless you feel a good role model like Jimmy Savile could have done it.
