In terms of clothing... Charles is notorious for wearing things that are years old, an attitude that should surely be applauded on grounds of financial and environmental parsimony.
The ones I've met (The Queen, DoE, DoC and PH) have all been very nice people. Given that at present we have a Royal Family, I think we're lucky to have those particular people in it.
That doesn't mean that the idea and concept of the monarchy is appropriate. It is undemoncratic, unecessary, unwarranted, unwanted and unfair. That fact that those in it are a decent sort isn't really relevant.
