I am a very very frequent user of G7 "Club Affaires", I do almost all of my trips both to and from airports with them (remaining 3-4 times are moto taxi when there is heavy traffic and weather isn't bad). I have a corporate account and opnened a family account with subaccounts for every (adult) family member, the nanny, etc.
All in all that is a much more pleasant experience. Where about 50% of Paris taxis suffer from usually several of the above described flaws, only about 10% of G7 taxis do, the most current one being a smelly driver/inside, no idea about current traffic situation/driving straight into a traffic jam, and an astonishing ignorance of how the AUTO button of the air conditioning works. The last two can be solved on board, the first one, well....
BUT: what kind of situation is that where I have to pay *a lot* more money to get a decent taxi service? CLub Affaires is very expensive, they charge you for the way to pick you up and for the wait, and never ever should one order them for a pickup at the airport before actually being at the airport. These guys do not watch delays, and would be able to wait for your delayed flight for one hour with the counter running. But it's a choice of that or a very unpleasant taxi experience.
I'll definitely be using LeCab. What I am worried about is that they have only few cars, and often my reservation could not be confirmed.
What is ironic: G7 Club Affaires also offers the possibility to order a taxi in other cities, among them London. Guess what car you get in London when you order through Taxis G7? Not a black cab, but Addisson Lee, the company that has launched LeCab in Paris.
Anyway, I'll stop this off-topic discussion before it is moved to somewhere else.
Thus: bravo to AF for the initiative to launch a lounge for TGV pax, but I agree with others that this "only for Strasbourg, only after 2pm" is an un-needed complexitificationality. Loved by AF, by now benefit for customers.
