Hmm I changed my flight anyway, because with all else being equal, I like my chance with 21 empty seats than 15. I know they might not be 100% correct, but like I say, when all else being equal...
However, now CX told me I must pay 20k miles for the return segment. When my departure segment is confirmed later, I need to pay another 20k, instead of waiting for everything to be cleared then pay the 30k round trip upgrade total.
I was shocked, and told them I will not do this. They gave me until 8/8 to confirm, or they will cancel even my confirmed return upgrade....!!
They told me they put me on the "highest priority." Are they lying to me? Is there such thing as "highest priority?" I am just a lowly silver.
