Unbelievable Response from US Customer Service! Tell me I should buy another seat!
The other day I posted a message on Flyertalk about an experience I had while traveling next to an obese passenger on USAir. He took up 50% of my seat and I was smushed the whole trip. I won't get into detail but...
I emailed USAir customer service from the plane. I was very nice and explained the situation. They finally got back to me today (3 days later).
I am in complete disbelief about the response I got. Ready for this...
They email me back and state that they are not required to force obese passengers to buy another seat. And here is the kicker... they tell me in the email that IF I AM NOT COMFORTABLE BECAUSE MY SEAT IS BEING USED BY AN OBESE PASSENGER WHO DOESN'T FIT IN THEIR SEAT, THAT I SHOULD BUY A SECOND SEAT!!!! I cannot even believe they sent me an email like that.
I WILL NEVER FLY USAIR AGAIN!!!
