There is a train station in Frankfurt with direct train connections to Amsterdam too

Other airports mean a connection in YUL or YYZ which costs you more time and hassle. Usually the easiest / least painful route from Ottawa to Europe is YOW - FRA - whatever ... I don't normally try for other airports because Aerolotto is such a crapshoot it isn't really worth the extra hassle in my opinion.
