We're traveling CLT-AVP on a CRJ later this week with a 1 yr old (sitting on lap). We have no DM status are already checking a bag. We'd like to bring his collapsable stroller and car seat with base. We have gate checked the stroller in a vinyl bag before but never needed the car seat until now. US website says we can bring 1 OR the other. In reality, are the gate agents reasonable & just let you check both for free? Will they offer a simple bag up protect the car seat?
