At $100 hyatt place you get what you pay for - diamond or not.
I accept that, but assume that I get to 35-40 nights and am 10 nights short for re-qualification. In that case, it will cost me significantly more to retain status than it would in the US.
While most of my stays would not change, several might (at the margin), and my net contribution to hyatt is still far greater than many other diamonds who have access to $100 per night rooms. Even $200 pn is way cheaper than any of the rates in this part of the world.
