Auckland (AKL) to Palmerston North (PMR), Air New Zealand Link ATR 72-500

The Koru Lounge was jammed packed. I grabbed a Muffin and found a free computer. I checked my emails and browsed the net for a bit. Boarding called, i made my way downstairs to the gates. Past the scanner, we had a lengthy walk over to our gate. Parked up was our 68 seater ATR 72-500. Due to the AC being rear loading, i usually sit towards the back. This time however, i selected a seat towards the front. I had plenty of time in Palmerston North, so a long time deplaning was not a big issue. I bumped my way up to seat 2D and stowed my carry on in the overhead locker. The captain came onto announce our flights just before we had a safety briefing from the FAs. We started up and had along taxi to the runway. We took off to the northeast, before banking and making our way south.

The weather was still not to hot, and we had a bit of turbulence before reaching calmer air. We climbed to an altitude of 17.000ft, way above the cloud layer. The FAs did a Water/Coffee/Tea/Water run, me having a cup of Tea. Palmerston North is served to/from Auckland up to 11 Times a day using a mix of Bombardier Q300s and ATR 72s. The flight takes around 55minutes. We started our descent and passed through the cloud layer. We hit quite a bit of wind on approach into the airport, located on the outskirts of the city. Thankfully we touched down onto the runway without issue and we taxied to the terminal. As i had thought, deplaning was extremely slow, but i was ok with that. It looked like it was going to drizzle, so i jogged into the terminal, just before it poured.
