Mypoints redemption problem - what to do

Hi all

As you know Mypoints have pulled the pin on the AA vacationmiles redemption. I suspect that Mypoints is going to go bust very soon. Time to buy put options in Mypoints methinks.

What to do? I now have 20,000 points. When I went to redeem my points I got a message saying that Mypoints cannot ship to my address in Australia. Preferably I'd like to get maximum miles value for these miles. Ideally it would be great to convert them to Onepass miles. What is the most efficient way to redeem these miles before Mypoints goes broke?

I looked at Marriott and Hilton but the exchange rates are very poor. I'm thinking that it might be an idea to convert them to Alaskan miles (1000 miles for 1500 points) then convert those miles to Hilton (I'm assuming Alaskan is partnered with Hilton) the convert those Hilton miles to Onepass miles. It still appears very costly however.

Any suggestions for getting maximum value for a points to miles conversion?

cheers Peter
