well. 99% of my bookings with AB I can handle myself in Amadeus. so what should be done step by step:

Could you clarify your last sentence? Are you saying that as Sapphire or higher it will still ask for credit card details (but it won't charge) or are you saying it will not even ask for credit details?
I spoke with the call center today. They assign XL and asked for CC at which point I told them I change my mind.
