A question to those in the know. I have an upcoming stay at the SGS, and SNA upgrades were available only to smoking suites, though my preference is for nonsmoking. In many hotels, I have found no discernible smell of smoke in smoking rooms, so it didn't really matter. Does anyone know if this would be the case at SGS, or if I should just forget about trying the upgrade?
As someone who primarily stays in smoking suites at SGS, yes, there is a "slight" tobacco smell throughout the room, although more cigar than cigarette. It all comes down to personal I guess.
