Hi. While on my vacation here in the Philippines, i bought a guitar and i'm wondering if it's ok for Cathay Pacific that guitars can be carry on. My flight is from Manila to Hong Kong then Hong Kong to Milan. Small musical instruments – such as a violin or a flute, within the size of 78 x 25 x 15 cm (31 x 10 x 6 in) (H x W x D) and within the weight of 7 kg (15 lb) inclusive of the hard case can be carried on board if it can be stowed safely inside the overhead locker.
Other musical instruments – such as guitars, exceeding the above limits or the cabin baggage allowance must be checked in as checked baggage.
......or you can purchase an extra seat for your guitar....or travel in J/F where you will have that kind of extra space.
