Baggage transfer at SIN (changi)

Hi,
I have question regarding changing SQ flights in SIN (Changi). I bought a ticket from SFO-SIN and then use the award ticket from SIN-CGK under separate ticket. Both are SQ flights. I have 3 hour transit time in between the flights.
Do I have to pick up my baggage for the first leg of the trip and then check in for the 2nd leg of the trip?
