Exactly. Just keep that box closed, and you'll be all set to pay cash. If you really want to be 110% certain, just take the box off the windshield (it's held on with velcro), and stick the closed box in the glove compartment.
But you still have to make sure the Platepass box is closed. An exposed EZPass transponder (that's not in a closed Platepass box or a foil bag) will sometimes still work even if it's in the glove compartment.
