I got the Eurostar a couple of weeks back and went through French Immigration and Customs at London St Pancras Station. When I arrived in Paris Station there were no customs or immigration and I got off the train and wondered in to Paris.

I was wondering do the French immigration and customs staff at St Pancras actually live in the UK or will they commute in everyday from France. I guess it would be much cheaper for the French Government to have them live in places like Calais and then transport them to London eberyday than actually pay them London salaries.

Anybody know????
