Well that is a fair point. However, there is a limit to 'short notice' to the airport opening. (i.e. 3 months advance notice)

I can not see Qatar not to give three months notice before move to the new airport. Since no acknowledgement from Qatar in July. I see the October opening is not possible. If no announcement by next month, then 11th/12th November would not be possible. If no announcement by 1st October, December would not be possible...However, as you and other poster noted, anything is possible in Qatar...
