Looks like MR is in the process of adjusting the language to eliminate the room/bed type guarantee or at least make it harder to collect. Its another way hotels are given an out to not pay up when they fail to deliver on a, "guaranteed benefit." Similar to the Guaranteed Platinum Amenity, when invoked, the hotel manager would claim, "we applied the points as your amenity." In this case the hotel manager will be able to say, "we gave you priority for a king bed, but unfortunately a king bed was not available."
