I'm happy to be corrected here, but you would not be able to get a stamp if you use Smartgate.
Go through the ordinary line - it will look long but you'll be processed quicker than you think - but be sure to ask for a stamp as you probably won't be given one otherwise. You'll still have to wait for your bags to turn up on the carousel so there's no huge advantage for you.
