For me, one hour and half extra for sleeping (8hrs of sleep vs. 6.5 hours) makes quite a big difference on how well rested I feel the next day. BIG difference.

The connection will logically be on TAM that has 6x daily between GRU and GIG. Once TAM joins oneworld, oneworld rules protect you in case of delays. Will not a be a big deal. GRU is one building, rather small, even if different terminals, the distance is walkable.
