But answering your question: Chase is generally not a churn-friendly bank. Most reports on other cards (haven't heard about the Amtrak Visa in particular) put the reapplication period in the 2-year range (from account closure).
That said, I'd consider keeping it because it does not have an annual fee and Chase likes long-term customers.
The CSP looks like an attractive option, as well (especially with their very nice sign-on bonus). Seeing that I'm about to be adding a fairly large amount of Amtrak travel to my travel mix, I'm considering pairing the cards. Would you recommend the CSP as a must-have?
