Like others I suggest a concise and politely worded letter to customer service setting out the justification for your expense. I hope that you can get the additional GBP 25 back sooner or later.
I agree.
My only major experience of having to get some money out of BA was after the ash cloud - and they were very good, and quick, for quite a bit of money, far from nickel and diming.
