OP here. The flight was delayed 1 hour. I found it very surreal rushing to the airport to arrive on time for a morning flight knowing full well, and being informed by AC, that the flight was delayed!!!! How do they get away with this stuff? They say: We are late, we are telling you we are late, but you still have to be on time ... say what?

I am confused, bemused, and amused by all this airline industry silliness.
