There were a bunch of precautions at JFK today (7/19) as we were landing on AA1936 from Las Vegas. The plane took off mostly fine (with lots of rudder wobble), but then about 5 minutes before landing the pilot got on and said that we were experiencing a slight problem and that emergency vehicles would meet us.

It seemed that we got an expedited slot for landing, and we were met with 20 fire trucks and other emergency vehicles. As the pilot was landing he used a ton of reverse thrust for a long period of time and almost no brakes. Sat on the taxiway for about 15 minutes, then proceeded to the gate.

Is there anyone with access to notes/info that can tell us what went wrong? The pilot was a terrible communicator (a much better pilot).
