If this was going to last for some years, I would kill my Marriott Visa (15 elite night credits, plus a now-devalued one night cert) and just rely on UA...but worried the program ends and we are left in a lurch....Any thoughts on that?
I'm lifetime Gold with UA already due to MM status and lifetime Gold with MR already due to stays and points so this really doesn't mean much to me and I don't plan on registering.
I did register my GF who is 1k on UA due to status matching. Her MR Gold status appeared about 48 hours later ^. She's got a reservation coming up at a MR property so the bennies will be a nice plus for her. Score 1 for a tiny bit more crowding in the lounge that otherwise wouldn't have happened without the RewardsPlus program.
