As a newly minted Marriott Gold, I will be staying tonight at the TPA airport Marriott. This will be my first Marriott stay in years. I need a backup to SPG, so with the new change I'll give Marriott a chance to earn more of my business. I believe that is what they hope to do under this program. We'll see.
