I am actually around your age (slightly younger)! Like you, I've been offered many times domestically. But since you are connecting to J on QF flight, and have entry to the QF lounge in DFW, I'm sure you can get some there. I've only been to the QF lounge at NRT before, where there was all-you-can-grab/steal alcohol (yes..I once saw someone shoving 6+ cans of beer into her purse). I bet there is at least self-serve alcohol there, and is easy to get.
