Hot tubs are hidden away behind the slide, and are quite private late at night.
YMMV, but i booked two nights using Visa certs, plus one night in Regency room on points, and they put us in a Family Suite for all three nights w Regency access for whole stay,; all this for a lowly Plat.......
Grounds are beautiful, water is wonderful.
I think you were very fortunate to get the family suite! We are diamonds, have been for a very long time, and are usually recognized as such when we check in. In this case, not only did they not upgrade us (nor would I expect that, I did not book a suite) but the staff was just not accommodating. I'm not even sure we got the usual "thank you for being a diamond" that one gets at every Hyatt property around the globe.
The week following I was back on the road for business (alone) and was treated just as great as always. My trips alone don't matter.. I'm just so sorry this wasn't the case when the family vacationed in Aruba for 300K points.
