The question: My wife already has the AMEX Blue Cash card from a targeted signup bonus maybe 7-9 months ago. Cardmatch.com currently shows a signup bonus for the Blue Cash Preferred card for her which we'd like to take advantage of in order to get the 6% back at grocery stores, but the fine print says you don't qualify if you already have an AMEX card, then makes specific mention of holding a Blue Cash card:

If you are identified as a current American Express® Cardmember, you may not be eligible for this welcome bonus offer. This offer is also not available to applicants who have had this product within the last 12 months or any other Consumer Blue Cash® Card account within the last 90 days.

Does anyone know if we're realistically likely to get the bonus if she already holds the plain Blue Cash card? I already was an AMEX cardholder and got the bonus, though I didn't have a Blue card at the time.
