There's no such thing as zero fees my friend.
Either you pay transaction fees or you get a crappy spread.
They'll get their share somehow.
Your best bet is to get a local currency denominated card from your normal bank (because to avoid the forex completely it'll have to be linked to a bank account of the same denomination - any bank worth its name should be able to provide an account in a denomination of your choice) for the places you visit most (e.g. a Euro or USD denominated card) and then not worry about forex fees in the places you visit less often
