I was asked if I wanted to participate in the online call. I accepted. I asked the questions I wanted, shrugged off the answers I thought were BS and wrote a post telling all my readers not to buy it.
I also might be the only person telling the whole story of what they think they're trying to do and what they hope to accomplish, mostly because I waited until after actually talking with them to reach my conclusions of what the situation is.
They offered me nothing other than a seat at the table and, in at least one case, thanked me for my honesty in noting that they screwed up in choosing their marketing message and target consumers.
I have no idea what discussions anyone else had with the company, though I would assume most didn't have any based on the tales being spun.
