We had a flash drive in one of the USB ports that contained many of my husband's client files (he's an attorney). I found instructions on-line yesterday on how to find-out if a flash drive has a virus. I went through the process and, fortunately, there weren't any .exe files on the flash drive; there were only Word and WordPerfect files. I scanned it antivirus software and it looks fine.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
Note that Word and WordPerfect files can carry viruses. I'd scan them with more than just one anti-virus program.
