The Gold Status at Marriott is only good through Jan.31,2014..then you loose the status unless you meet the regular 50 night stay requirement..I think most people have overlooked that part..Its not a lifetime status match or anything longer than Jan.31..see terms and conditions..enjoy the Gold at Marriott through January!
So, too, is your Premier status, so it wouldn't be surprising that the status terminates when your Premier status expires - I suspect that it will renew on 2/1/14, assuming you still have Premier status.
