As a frequent business class international traveler I am really frustrated that I cannot use my over 600,000 plus miles the way that I want. I sure wish Delta Airlines would allow Diamond Medallion members, well anyone really, to book an international flight with miles and to also upgrade with miles. 1. Pay with miles essentially does this, but with very small value per mile. With 600,000 miles, you get roughly $6,000 off the cost of a ticket, so less that one business class ticket TATL/TPAC in most circumstances.
2. Be very careful what you wish for.
