Could someone offer some clarification on what I do next? The expenses to get home were a bit greater than the sector cost of LHR-EDI so should I:
1 - Not claim a refund of my LHR-EDI sector and instead submit a claim for my entire journey to get back to EDI on the train and additional car parking?
2 - Claim a refund of LHR-EDI and submit a claim for the difference in cost?
3 - Claim a refund of LHR-EDI and submit a claim for the total value of my costs of getting home as well?
4 - something else?
I'm guessing 1 is the correct answer here but just want to double check? I'll need to retro claim the avios as well.
I'd go for the first option, although if the difference in cost wasn't much I'd probably just go for the refund as you're likely to get it quicker. They'll probably have a massive backlog in expense claims, they may still be dealing with the backlog of the previous disruption.
