Last year, I applied for and received three Citi cards - AMEX, Visa, M/C. Also appied for my wife and she got three also. Did the spend, got the miles, etc.

My SIL, who I set up with a Citi card a couple of years ago, has accumulated enough miles to send her daughter/son-in-law to Europe for their honeymoon. Since this would deplete her stash, she wants to get back into the game, as does her fiance.

Reading the sticky, I'm a little confused. It seems to say that you apply for one card (say Visa), wait at least 6 days, then apply for the next one, say MasterCard. I don't recall doing that for my apps. Are these the rules now?

Also, will her having an existing card prejudice her getting additional cards, or just prevent her from getting another one of the existing card?
