Hey guys,

Tried to find this via the search function, but didn't see an answer.

I've booked an Award ticket on United Airlines via US Airways miles. I don't have status on US Airways, but I'm UA Silver.

My ticket appears in my UA account, but it doesn't seem to have my Silver status applied: for instance, it shows that I'll have a first baggage fee charge (it's a domestic flight).

I called up UA and they said it's because I booked the ticket via US Airways and since I don't have status with US Airways, my UA Silver won't apply to the ticket even thought I'm flying with UA.

I have no clue if the rep is just clueless and if I should call back and try again, or if this is accurate.

Please advise.
