AMS KLM Crown Lounge!

We landed on-time at Amsterdam Schiphol airport. I love this airport, because, it is unique in many ways. It has a library, and a museum inside the airport! However, that's not what I am interested in (like a true FTer! ).

I visited the KLM crown lounge, once before, but couldn't check it out properly, as I had a really short connection! This time, however, I had a layover of almost 6.5 hours, and determined to make full use of it!.

I was one of the first to exit the plane, and knew where KLM's flagship lounge was. However, I do wish that the directions to the lounge, and the airport itself, was marked a little better though!

The first thing I did, after I arrived in the lounge was to put my name down for a much needed shower! Apparently, there was just one guy in front if me, but someone got out early, so did not even have to wait for the shower.

After the shower, I went to check out one of the quiet rooms. The quiet rooms, as the name suggests, are super-quiet, blackened-out rooms, that you can have a restful sleep in. However, be warned, they do not have a wake-up service, so it's on you to get up on-time, and be at the boarding gate !

After some-time, I went to check out the food selection! I did not see anything that I particularly like, so had a little scrambled eggs, a cold-cut and a croissant! It was filling. The highlight of the entire meal was the freshly prepared eclairs! They were simply awesome!

I then realised that the lounge was really crowded that day! It was really noisy too! I headed to the quiet room for some rest, and stayed there, till I had to leave for boarding!

At T-45, I proceeded for boarding. Boarding at Amsterdam was particularly chaotic, so I didn't take any pics. There was no clear demarcation for business class boarding lines! I had to shout to the agent, 'Is this the line for business class passengers?', and then she took my boarding pass, and opened one of the ropes, to let me cut through the general line! I did that, while the other passengers were literally glaring at me!

However, at the security, the general and the premium line became one. I was called first at the security, as they anticipated I was a premium passenger. After the security, we waited about 3 mins, and then, the boarding started for business class guests! Again, I was amongst one of the first to board !
