A relative has booked a DMM-DEL-BLR RT flight on 9W. Looked at the eticket pdf to see how much he could earn on AA and I'm a bit confused.

For the DEL-BLR flight it says "H2LX6RSA" under the Fare Basis column but under class it says "Economy (T)". I was under the impression that the fare for mileage purposes is the first letter of the fare basis code, which for these flights would be H right?

Also this person is not a frequent flier, I am thinking of suggesting 9W itself as he won't earn much on AA. Do we have a chart of the miles required for 9W flights? Looking specifically at BLR-BOM or BLR-COK/TRV. Can someone let me know how many miles would be needed and the approx taxes?

One can book 9W metal online right?
