On the website it says: "Free upgrade to the next available car category each time you book a car from Hertz" for Star Alliance Gold if you have Aegean.

Does this work in the U.S.? Has anyone ever tried this? Looking to rent a convertible from LAX, so if this does in fact work, what car should I rent in order to be able to upgrade one level to the convertible?
