To rent an apartment, they want:
- Last four consecutive pay stubs
- Last two federal tax returns
- Last two W-2 forms
- Last two months of checking account bank statements
- Most recent savings acct statement
- Letter from your employer stating salary
- Current landlord reference letter
Are these people insane? Or is it just me that this seems like a lot?
The management company is Halcyon Management...anyone ever deal with them?
Wow, I never had any of those requirements. It sounds like the management company and/or the building owner may have been burned by deadbeats who lied. That's just a guess. The only way to see if this is the norm is to find out what similar real estate management companies require. I just googled them and I can't even find their own website with listings of apartments and the like.
